Gail was born in Nelson and grew up on a farm in the Belgrove/Wakefield region. 

Gail originally started working in office administration and later decided to pursue a career in accounting. She worked full time and studied part time gaining her accounting technician qualification. 

Gail enjoys the outdoors, travelling, swimming and snorkeling.
