Mieke was born in the Netherlands and has lived in New Zealand since 1983; always in the beautiful Nelson area (where else...). She likes to ride bikes (both mountain and motor) and goes on regular tramping trips throughout the region.
With a background in tourism she started working in a travel agency, doing domestic travel arrangements, accounts and, when it was introduced, GST returns.
After her twins were at school age she became the Board Secretary and Executive Officer for the New Zealand Hop Marketing Board, where she was responsible for all the Board's budgets, foreign exchange contracts, grower records, and accounts up to audit stage.
After 13 years in the hop industry, Mieke joined Craig Anderson in October 2008. She enjoys building on the accounting skills learnt over the years and also looks after the firm's BankLink customers. She is the contact person for installation and support of this package and welcomes any queries clients may have about BankLink. She is also the go-to person for any ACC queries.
