Patrick Adamson B.Com, C.A.
Patrick was born and raised in Nelson; he attended Nelson College and had his first date with his future wife Rosalie (nee Gibbs) at the sixth form ball. Out of work Patrick is a keen follower of his three children’s sports, especially volleyball and basketball and is an avid armchair critic and rugby enthusiast. For his own recreation Patrick chases a little white ball round the golf course in the never ending endeavour to lower his golf handicap; having given up running some time ago he still likes to get up on the Richmond hills and visit the gym on an irregular basis. Patrick studied at the University of Canterbury where he gained a B.Com majoring in accountancy. He then went on to complete his professional training with Price Waterhouse in Christchurch for four years in both business services and audit. In 1985 Patrick and Rosalie decided to return to Nelson to be closer to family. He obtained a senior position with Craig, Anderson & Co and three years later he joined Ted Anderson in partnership of the firm. Patrick enjoys tax planning and helping in tax minimisation for his clients. He also enjoys dealing with a wide variety of clients and his role as secretary for Network Tasman Trust which he has held since 2002.

Marina Buonocore B.Com, C.A.
Marina was born and bred in Nelson from Italian immigrants and now resides in Wakefield. She enjoys biking and running, and has competed in many local sporting events involving the two. When her son started school she decided to embark on a new career, and went into full time study at the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology. She graduated with a B.Com majoring in both accounting and information technology. While studying, Marina began working part time in a chartered accountancy firm. Marina has been with Craig Anderson for four years as a senior accountant and is a client services manager specialising in the commercial sector. She enjoys working closely with both new and old clients to business around the region. Marina has now completed the Professional Accounting School (PAS) and has passed her Final Qualifying Exam (PC2).

Robbie Reynolds B.Com (Hort), PG Dip Com C.A
Robbie resides in Tapawera with his wife Janet and two children. He is actively involved in the management of his family business, which grows blackcurrants. Robbie has a broad variety of practical valuation experience in the horticulture industry, having completed a B.Com (Hort) at Lincoln University in 1993 and a post graduate in Rural Valuation in 1997. He started his accountancy career in 2000 with a small rural focused Canterbury firm. Prior to starting at Craig Anderson in April 2008, he worked for another Richmond based firm for five years. Robbie enjoys working closely with a wide range of rural and business clients in the top of the south. He travels to clients as required and specialises in cashflow/budgeting, business planning and succession issues. His practical understanding of the challenges facing those in business enables him to relate well to the issues they face.

Aimee Harwood C.A
Aimee grew up in and around the Nelson region before moving to Christchurch to attend Canterbury University where she gained a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Post Graduate Diploma . While at University Aimee met her husband Tim, a born & bred Cantabrian. Following University Aimee worked in the Assurance Division at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Christchurch for four & a half years. During this time she also gained her professional Chartered Accountants qualification. After this she took a role as Financial Accountant for Hoyts Cinemas before moving back to a medium sized Chartered Accountants firm where she was a Manager. In 2008 Aimee & her husband moved to Sydney where they spent 18 months living and working. During this time Aimee worked as the Finance Manager for the Australian component of a multi-national luxury goods Company. After the bright lights of the big city Aimee and Tim decided they preferred the quieter life and made the decision to move permanently back to Nelson. They are really enjoying exploring the region and living near family and friends.

Helen Stevens A.T
Helen was born in Motueka, grew up on an orchard in Mahana, and attended Waimea College before studying at Canterbury University. While raising a family of three children, Helen worked at another Nelson based chartered accountancy firm and helped manage various family businesses. Three years ago she moved to Craig Anderson and enjoys the small office atmosphere and the greater level of contact with our clients. Helen enjoys the challenge of helping the ‘50’s’ age group of clients that are a little ‘computer allergic’, training and also mentoring the younger members of our team.

Prelean Bismark
Prelean emigrated from Zimbabwe with her husband and two daughters. She gained her accounting experience and knowledge working in the corporate services division of a Zimbabwean-based holding company, principally involved in the manufacturing, forestry and building retail sectors. She joined Craig Anderson in 2004 and deals with all areas of taxation and compliance accounting work for clients. She also manages the payroll support services we offer and enjoys the variety of work in this industry. Preleans outside activities include time well spent with family and friends, listening to music and part-time study toward a B Com.

Chris Schurmann
Chris was born in Switzerland and moved to New Zealand in 1984. He is married to Pauline and has two children. He enjoys the outdoors including skiing, tramping and mountain biking. Chris qualified with a B.Com in 2003 and commenced his training with a chartered accountancy firm in Nelson. Chris joined Craig Anderson in 2005 and prepares annual accounts.

Andrea McMahon
Andrea is a born and bred Nelsonian and apart from five years in Australia has always lived in sunny Nelson. She is married to Patrick and they have three teenage children that keep them very busy. Andrea and Patrick are both very involved in the community they live in. Before starting at Craig Anderson in 2005 she worked at the BNZ in Nelson and also has a background in office administration. After four years of CA experience, Andrea’s work mainly involves annual accounts for partnerships, companies, and trusts, and income tax and GST returns for these entities. The last four years have been a huge learning curve for Andrea but she truly loves her new profession.

Mieke van Drunen
Mieke was born in the Netherlands and has lived in New Zealand since 1983; always in the beautiful Nelson area (where else...). She likes to ride bikes (both mountain and motor) and goes on regular tramping trips throughout the region. With a background in tourism she started working in a travel agency, doing domestic travel arrangements, accounts and, when it was introduced, GST returns. After her twins were at school age she became the Board Secretary and Executive Officer for the New Zealand Hop Marketing Board, where she was responsible for all the Board’s budgets, foreign exchange contracts, grower records, and accounts up to audit stage. After 13 years in the hop industry, Mieke joined Craig Anderson in October 2008. She enjoys building on the accounting skills learnt over the years and also started to look after the firm’s BankLink customers. She is the contact person for installation and support of this package and welcomes any queries clients may have about BankLink.

Lisa Newport
Lisa was born and raised in Nelson and now lives in Richmond with her husband and two children. Lisa has worked in several different industries including a five year stint in London working for a wide variety of international banks. This is her first year foray into chartered accountancy work; however she has vast experience in accounts payable/receivable, payroll and office administration. Since starting at Craig Anderson she has been working very closely with Robbie Reynolds and the rural/farming client accounts.

Clare Shanaher
Clare was born and bred in Christchurch; is part of a large family and is very proud of her strong Irish heritage. She moved to Nelson with her husband Peter and two sons in 1996 and has never looked back. Family tops the list of importance in Clare’s life and any time spent with her husband and sons is time very well spent. She is an avid pool player, a passion she shares with her family, and is currently a Nelson and South Island representative. Clare joined Craig Anderson in March 2000, with her main specialities being tax and practice administration. Clare is the firm’s primary practice liaison with Inland Revenue and should be your first point of contact should you have any queries regarding tax payments.

Alicia Chapman
Alicia was born and bred in Motueka, and still resides there with her husband Kent. She enjoys playing indoor netball and spending time with her family and friends. She joined Craig Anderson in 2000 when she was originally employed as Office Junior. Alicia is our Receptionist who also completes a number of accounting tasks and is our rental property specialist. Her duties also involve dealing with the day to day secretarial tasks for Network Tasman Trust.
